A microprocessor digital redox controller constantly monitors and maintains redox levels within specific parameters and boundaries by analysing the change in oxidation-reduction potential measured by the redox electrode in an aqueous solution and displayed in millivolts by the controller, different types of controllers offer various degrees of specifications and programming functionality's to suit the specific application either as a stand alone redox dosing system or integrated other control equipment and process systems. Due to the significant role redox measurement plays in various industries controllers operators can connect to a local webserver network for remote access to monitor the system in real-time with full programming authority.

 Redox Measurement
 
The measurement redox potential also know as oxidation reduction potential is determined in a aqueous solution the tendency of a chemical species to acquire or lose electrons to an electrode and thereby be reduced or oxidised respectively using a platinum tip redox electrode with the value being presented and displayed in millivolts (mV), the term Redox is derived from Reduction Oxidation and also referred to as ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) with a sensing electrode acting as a platform for electron transfer to and from the reference half cell typically made of platinum.
The importance of redox measurement and the critical role it has ensuring levels remains within process-specific parameters across a vast range of process applications cannot be underestimated providing an essential element in determining the process efficiency with regulations and guidelines adhered to accordingly

 Redox Instruments
 
A redox instrument analyses the change in oxidation-reduction potential measured by a redox electrode in an aqueous solution measured and displayed in millivolts by instrument ensuring the process levels remain within specific parameters critical in a number of commercial and industrial applications, advancement in electrode technology has greatly expanded applications where redox measurement has increasingly been used as a more cost effective alternative to other forms of measurement and control. Whilst redox instruments are often used as a stand alone system they are more commonly used as a panel mounted instrument being used in control panels for wastewater and effluent treatment process applications.
