Immersion Conductivity Probes
Immersion style conductivity probes are indispensable tools for real-time monitoring designed
to be placed directly into open tanks, basins and reservoirs to determine the concentration of dissolved ions, salts and
chemicals they offer several strategic advantages providing instantaneous data directly from the source, optimising
cooling tower performance by detecting Total Dissolved Solids to automate the blowdown process replacing heavy-mineral water
before it triggers scale formation, corrosion or expensive damage.
Inline Conductivity Probes
Industrial Conductivity Probe mounted in high-grade chemical resistant PVC housing
with integrated union connection designed for seamless integration into high-flow systems provides reliable real-time monitoring
of aqueous solutions this sensor is engineered for durability in harsh working environments, whether you are monitoring a cooling
tower blowdown system or borehole water quality this assembly offers the perfect balance of accuracy, reliability ease-of-use
including routine servicing and periodic probe calibration.
Conductivity Probes
High Performance
High resolution inline Conductivity Probe designed for seamless integration into existing
pipework and pressurised systems in reinforced polypropylene and premium-grade 316 stainless steel electrodes for stable
and consistent conductivity analysis directly from the main process flow stream, specifically designed to operate in
pressurised processes by combining a polypropylene body with broad chemical compatibility with high grade electrodes ensuring
long-term stability, minimal polarization and exceptional corrosion resistance.
Why Temperature Compensation Matters
Conductivity is highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations therefore a
conductivity electrode equipped with Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) ensures that measurements are accurate, comparable and
actionable by normalizing the data to a standard reference temperature, the most critical benefit is the elimination of temperature-induced
errors with industrial and regulatory limits such as those for drinking water or wastewater discharge based on conductivity
values at 25°C working temperature.
Conductivity Electrode Measurement
Industrial conductivity electrodes measures a solutions ability to conduct electricity
by applying an alternating voltage across the surface area of two electrodes immersed in a solution creating an electrical
field between the conductivity electrode surfaces measuring the resulting current flow which is proportional to the solutions
ion concentration and therefore conductivity, the higher the concentration of ions in the solution the greater the current flow
therefore the higher the conductivity measurement in the solution.
Conductivity Probe Maintenance
Conductivity probes are low maintenance although they require periodic servicing crucial to restoring the
probes efficiency and performance particularly when used on challenging processes where the the electrodes could become
dirty or fouled compromising the probe measurement accuracy, routine cleaning with warm water or mild a detergent
and brush helps remove solids that slowly accumulate on the electrodes surface that could cause entrapment of air bubbles compromising
the probes measurement accuracy.
