Immersion Conductivity Probes
Immersion conductivity probe engineered to provide continuous, high-precision monitoring of
ionic concentration in open tanks, basins and deep-well applications. These probes offer several strategic advantages providing
instantaneous data directly from the source, often utilised in cooling towers to automate blowdown cycles to control scaling
and corrosion. Whilst probes are supplied in standard 60-100cm lengths alternative sizes can be manufactured.
Inline Conductivity Probes
Industrial Conductivity Probe in high-grade durable PVC housing designed
for seamless integration into process systems equipped with maintenance union connection. Provides precise real-time
monitoring of total dissolved solids in aqueous solutions, offering the perfect balance of ease-of-use precision and reliability.
This housing is specifically designed for inline flow applications, ensuring the sensor electrodes remain fully submerged for constant,
accurate readings.
Conductivity Probes
High Performance
Inline Conductivity Probe for installation into existing pipework in
moulded reinforced polypropylene with premium-grade 316 stainless steel electrodes. Provides consistent conductivity analysis
directly from the main process flow stream, specifically designed to operate in pressurised and challenging processes. Probes
offer a practical solution in durability and precision, engineered for processes that require a cost effective solution
without sacrificing accuracy.
Why Temperature Compensation Matters
As a liquid heats up its viscosity decreases & ionic mobility increases causing
conductivity readings to rise even if the actual concentration of nutrients or pollutants hasn't changed. A simple 5°C fluctuation
can lead to significant measurement errors, potentially ruining sensitive laboratory experiments or industrial processes. Probes equipped
with Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) monitors the sample usually reference at 25°C working temperature.
Conductivity Electrode Measurement
At its core, an industrial conductivity probe measures a solutions ability to
conduct an electrical current by applying a voltage across the surface area of two electrodes. This ability depends directly
on the concentration of dissolved ions such as salts, acids or bases acting as charge carriers within the liquid. The ions in the
solution migrate toward the electrodes of opposite charge creating an electrical current proportional to the solutions ion concentration.
Conductivity Probe Maintenance
Conductivity probes require periodic servicing to restore the probes efficiency
and performance particularly when installed in challenging environments. Over time conductivity probes require
servicing due to fouling, scaling and polarization leading to sluggish response times and measurement drift. Routine cleaning with
warm water or mild a detergent helps remove solids that slowly accumulate on the electrodes surface that could compromise
the measurement accuracy.
